I’m very much looking forward to the Northwest Flower and Garden Show. It arrives in Seattle next week. It will be held in the Seattle Convention Center which is less than a 5 minute walk from Horizon House, where I live! Could it be any better???
I’ve also started working on my next little indoor garden talk that I’ll be giving on the 28th of February. The topic will be “Potting, Re-Potting and Light Exposure for Our Plants”. Today I worked on the Light Exposure part. The first thing I have to get simplified is what “candles”, “lumens” and “footcandles” are, so everyone can figure out what that means to them.
I also am working on getting a “footprint” of Horizon House so people can figure out what their light exposure actually is. Are they getting south, north, east, or west exposure and how does that impact how their plants are doing… Or what kind of plant should be in their window, or their table.
So, it’s kind of enlightening (pun intended) doing all this research. I kind of know about it, but it’s good to put it down because then it becomes clarified. You always learn more as the teacher, than the pupil!
